Unjust worldly gain

"mammon" (p 20): Mammon first appears in late Latin, Greek, Syriac, Aramaic, and a dialect of Hebrew meaning wealth, riches, money, etc. The New Testament refers to mammon to describe wealth or greed in a negative connotation. In the Bible, it is also used in the sense of a false god. So when Richard refers to Tommy "being mixed up with the hosts of mammon", he is referencing to Molly's obvious disdain for his line of work. (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammon)

So two images that came to my mind while reading was a picture I took of a tree and the chimera cat. The picture I took was split into the frame seen above as a present from my mother. I don't know why she decided to split the tree, but she did. Now the tree cannot be one again due to the space separating them. I sometimes get that feeling about Anna as she tries to combine her notebooks, that even though she tries, she cannot become whole. On that same note, I thought of the chimera cat which is two different cats merged into one. Even though it is one single entity, it is made up of two cats. It wouldn't be the same any other way.

I would like to end with an apology for neglecting to post last week, I do not know what I was thinking
