Shifting signs at the beginning of the black journal

This afternoon, after reading Cannon's post "Order from Chaos" I went back and reread the beginning of the black journal. The image that seemed to jump out in particular was the "scattered music symbols, treble signs that shifted from the (I can't find that sign on my keyboard, but I know it's the sign for some kind of currency) sign and back again". From these few symbols, we can gather an important aspect of the black journal. The idea of "art" being changed or adapted to make money, or "art" that is flat out made to make money. This concept is brought up heavily when Anny rights in the journal about how her novel, "Frontiers of War", was made into a money and the title was changed to "Forbidden Love" to match how the producers shifted the focus of the novel. This is also brought up when she brings her synopsis to the editor, as the synopsis she had brought in, which she says was "written in parody" would help to draw in the attention of the "moneybags", because it was "perfectly good and written on their terms".

I apologise if this post seems like a bit of a cop out comming off of Cannon's post, but, like Melanie said in her post, I really can't think of any other interesting comment to make at this point
